If you are very good looking, and the daughter of a billionaire presidential candidate, you can be on television... and interrupt Bernie Sanders explaining the SS CPI situation to announce that people your age don't care about retirees.
The Bill Maher show tonight is from a special circle of hell.
Full-time Bush boot licker and all around fool Steve Moore (I thinks that his name), astonishingly self-satisfied air-head Abby Huntsman, and poor Bernie Sanders not getting a word in edge-wise... and with the twitching hands of someone who would like to start hitting somebody with a chair.

(9,999 posts)More than once, she let her lack of intelligence on the heart of the issues shine through. And, Steve Moore is a sniveling idiot who thought Bush was great for the economy. You can't fix stupid.

(949 posts).. it's normally a bit more balanced. She didn't bring much original thought or insight to the table. Stephen Moore's positions change whenever it suits him... even during the show. Bernie Sanders was passionate and correct, but outnumbered. The young science activist guy was interesting and had a good head on his shoulders, though he was too cautious! Loved when he told Stephen Moore he's not a scientist. So frustrated with folks who still believe in this false equivalency of there being balanced sides to the climate change debate; the debate is OVER. The only ones left debating are the creationists.

Bernie Sanders has valuable information to give, and limited time..On a night when Bernie is on, it's shameful to bookend him like he did tonight.
Bill Maher seems to think that he can draw conservative viewers by having these idiots on the panel.. Bill publicly gave money to Obama.. He will NEVER win any accolades from the RW.. Give it up Bill.. Spare us the indignity of having to FF and mute when we watch you.. We can see any number of these fools anytime we want to wander over to Fox
We watch you (or try to) to see people who do not regularly get much airtime.

(2,888 posts)I was gettin mad every time she pushed Bernie's hand and arm out of her field of view. Listen, if Bernie needs to elongate his arms to express a point with passion, then Bernie's gonna elongate his arm. He's earned that right! A privileged little snot who thinks she can wax political and economical with her false equivalency crapola. She doesn't speak for millenials.
I myself am what would be considered a millenial and look upon Senator Bernie Sanders with great veneration as a wise elder statesmen whose words we millenials, the unspoiled, hard working, non members of the lucky sperm club ones, must heed.
On a side note, in the Overtime on HBO.com, that bright young student from LA made a very wise point and Bernie interjected a compliment, saying that this nation needed a million more young minds like him. Bill Maher in turn responded "which we're not gonna get." Which sadly is all too true the way our education system is heading.

(46,804 posts)I had rather liked Abby Huntsman until I saw her tonight. Totally uninformed and very rude.
Steve Moore is never a very good guest, but he was worse than usual.
A lot of yelling over one another and now I have a headache. I was looking forward to seeing Bernie Sanders, but as you said, he couldn't get a word in edge-wise.

(103,856 posts)I KNOW she's probably also well-educated, but when she speaks, she says little of any consequence. She cannot help the fact that she's good-looking...and she did not choose her family, but she has gotten where she is because she is telegenic and is not quite as abrasive as most republican spokeswomen.
I have never heard her once, say anything that communicates thoughtful perspective on anything.
....she thinks her Dad was right..and?
....she thinks her Dad is a great guy...and?
Actually her other two sisters seem more interesting, but the camera does not love them as much..
