Kamala Harris appears at the 12:45 minute mark

p.s. She would make an awesome Supreme Court Justice - very intelligent and most importantly a Democrat

2. We have to make sure that President Obama has enough democrats in the Senate

to seat Kamala Harris if she is selected during President Obama's term, or that Hillary or Joe get elected in 2016 so that openings after that election aren't filled by right-wing extremists.

Obama was likely tired and not at his best when he made that ill-considered remark. It's no big deal to me but being overly defensive about it does no good.

I care about actions, effectiveness, ethics. Things that matter.

5. I would rather see her run for President instead of Hillary, with Gavin Newsom

as a running mate. Two California progressives, who have rock star appeal. It works for me.

6. President and VEEP candidates cannot be from the same state.

I would not support Newsom anyway, at least not for VEEP. Congress, yes.

7. How about Newsom for President with a woman Veep?

Newsom has good executive skills rather than the political skills a congressman must have. I don't think he really has those. I really just can't warm up to Hillary. I don't think she can win anyway because she does not have winning ways frankly and that is very important regardless of her competence.

9. Well, we're at least a couple of years before I would commit to anybody.

I do not like the idea of perpetual presidential campaigns. Any speculation about 2016 now is delusional at best.

Ask me again in two years or so.

(And that includes Hillary, too. Or anybody else, for that matter.)

8. Yes, they can - but the electors from that state can only vote for one of them

Article II Section 1. So one of them would have to give up California's electoral votes - or move.

I don't think either has a good shot at president or vp. However, California's senators are getting on in years, and either would be a good replacement.
