"He called her last night and spoke to her," White House press secretary Jay Carney told reporters on Friday. "He apologized for the buzz this has created. They are old friends....He believes and fully recognizes that there are challenges women continue to face in the workplace and that they should not be judged on appearance. It certainly isn't the worse offense ever, but still glad he set things straight.

He does say some goofy things once in a while, but he knows when he is wrong and is not afraid to recognize that and apologize accordingly.

during the Supreme Court same sex marriage arguments when mentioning her people assumed she was a man. because only a man could be attorney general or have written the things she did.
