Federal Insurance Contribution Act. FICA

Look at the deductions on your pay stub.
One of them is FICA. Federal Insurance Contribution Act.
It doesn't say FECA. Federal Entitlement Contribution Act.
You are paying for retirement insurance or Social Security. It's your money. It's not Obama's money to be bargained with. It is insurance not an entitlement.

We should never have to hear the word entitlement in referring to FICA / Social Security.
FICA is not a factor in the deficit calculation. It is not a factor contributing to the national debt. Social Security is not going bankrupt.
Cutting Social Security benefits is conservative ideology. Trading tax increases for cuts in Social Security is trading needed tax policy for unneeded conservative ideology. It is giving in to the right.
Like Move-On I did not contribute to Obama's campaign to have my Social Security benefits reduced.

Reagan Dbld FICA Deductions in 1982---because he saw the "Boomers" booming into retirenent about now. So back then, workers paid forward for their Own PLUS their Grandparents/Parents Insurance Benefits.
