When I read that moveon.org was against the proposed cuts, I went to see if there had been any petitions running that would be presented to the President. They didn't seem to have anything listed..but the video was there and I watched it, because frankly I knew nothing about Chained CPI. It was very informative, and I hope many people will watch it and learn about it.

Knowing what it is, makes me even more confused why the President is so "gun ho" for it. What could he be thinking? Surely someone must have explained to him what this really means for seniors. I don't understand his attitude towards this.. or even why he thinks its a good idea.

Thanks..it should trend. Its important for people to understand these buzz terms like Chained CPI.. The average person on the street doesn't know what it means. I didn't. Chained CPI... (Chained Collie Pet Inducer? .. You could make up words for this all year!)

In high school we used to have a game like that.. Take an acronym and start making up your own terms.

It's astonishing that Obama wants to inflict chained cpi on the many poor and vulnerable rather than increase the cap on a much smaller number of comfortably fixed upper middle class and rich families. Obama is talking very much like a stooge of the plutocrats.
