Although it has taken too long and WE ALL still have some heavy lifting to
do but to me it has been becoming more and more clear that it is no longer
a question of if gay marriage will become the law of the but when gay
marriage will become the law of the land. The Supreme Court might be
problematic but the equal protection clause of the 14th amendment will
make it very difficult to rule that discrimination against one group of Americans
is Constitutional.

(9,527 posts)Thomas, Alito and Scalia will have absolutely no problem voting against the equal protection clause. None of those three have even the slightest hint of empathy or integrity. Hopefully at least one of Roberts and Kennedy will vote the correct way.
