1. that's my state. we all know compassion from Jesus only applies to B+ or better students.

we are drowning in ignorant republican lawmakers....writing laws it will take decades to rescind...

3. I agree with you. I have lived here for 18 yrs now. This school system sucks like hell.

They don't really care about the children. At least in this high school they worry that a kid doesn't have low pants or a chain that has a wallet at the end. They are hard on the kids who aren't A & B students. These kids who have a minor problem are sent to a school for deliquents.

it is the test scores that they have to bring up. They've already passed a law that 25% of kids grades will be the standardized test scores.

I don't know what this pic is about, but we have excellent schools where I'm at. Our teachers do a fantastic job with what they have and in spite of the home life so many kids come from. People just don't seem to get that a lot of how kids do in school is affected by the time they are not in school (broken homes, hungry, abuse, no help with studies).

Is this maybe regarding the charter school issue? They aren't welcome in my county. The Silvan here just had to downsize to a smaller building.
