Is it as banal as Kim Jong Un just wants

to see his mug on CNN? He got lots of attention on American news when Denis Rodman visited. A few weeks later he is baiting the USA again and again. Fareed Zakaria thinks the powers behind Kim want concessions from the USA. I don't quite buy that. I think Kim Jong Un is bored.

He may be trying to establish unassailable control over North Korea. Saber rattling can help in that attempt.
