A compromise on the background checks?

There should be a background check every time a gun changes hands. That makes sense. Even if you sell your brother one of your guns, there should be a paper trail with a background check.

If you are one of those folks that feel that is too much to ask, that it is too much of an infringement on your rights, then you can choose to opt out of that requirement.

However, if someone is killed by the gun that you sold, then you will be charged as an accessory to murder. Sound fair?
