We've got it all over them in counting and money and math. Dem budgets are much more grounded in reality than Repug versions. Remember Clinton's great speech at the convention, he totally had it right.

where they both wrote -- my spouse was a music critic, and Royko had his own column.

I remember climbing a tree during the 1968 Democratic convention and witnessed cops beating up demonstrators. I took pictures from a tree branch. Then I see Royko running like a cheetah from hell with cops right behind him with their bash sticks in their hands.

They hated him and his wonderful column. So did old man Dick Daley's powerful political machine.

He was the salt of the earth.
