Aryan Nation, White Supremacists, KKK, Et Al Are The GOP Base

We must remember that hate groups are an important part of the GOP base. Even though the officials we lost were white, the racial hatred and race baiting over the years that the GOP has pursued as a southern strategy has allowed these groups to be born an remain in existence. The racial slurs and rhetoric that has been aimed at Obama since he won has provided lush growing ground for these organizations. When these state and local officials tried to address the Aryan nation problem, they were targeted just like Alan Berg was years ago. The fact that we see law enforcement being intimidated reveals that the country has serious problem that is domestic.

So the GOP and its minions have helped create the monsters that murdered these officials. Their families and the pizza delivery man are just collateral damage.

Texas is a solidly GOP state where there is a lot of poverty in the white communities as well, where the gangs have gained a lot of influence. In many rural areas a drug trade proliferates because that tis the only way to make money. Somehow McJobs paying poverty wages are not enough to support anyone.

In a way the politicians in Texas have brought the problem on themselves because they still foment hateful racism and bigotry in their own state. Not a day goes by when some GOP politician says something vile and racist publicly to his or hers agreeable audience.

We have a white supremacist terrorist problem that the GOP and its conservative allies are determined to ignore as long as once of theirs" is not gunned down or intimidated. Somehow their support of the NRA is hypocritical in their support of arming everyone possible. They would change their tune if conservatives were victims. As long as the other side suffers casualties for their malfeasance they do not care.

Now we all have a problem because Aryan nations and KKK type organizations are growing. And that fact is as much a threat to the nation as foreign terrorism is. Could there be more McVeigh's in the wings? You have to wonder why Colorado killer had bomb material in Texas. What was he up to and who would have been the target.

I don't call any of them a friend, I can't lower myself to that standard. They aren't racists, but they hate gay rights, hate moms that are forced to get welfare, hate rappers, hate immigrants. But I see that having close friends from all of the groups that they hate, they aren't sexist, racist or anti-poor, they are fucking stupid and refuse to open their minds to facts.

7. I had interactions with White Supremacist groups when I lived in Idaho twenty years ago.

My sense was that they were anti-government and arming themselves against it. That evil old fuck the Rev. Butler (now deceased)founder of the Aryan Nation Church preached a gospel that appealed to the racism of his followers. At that time they belonged to no political party. They felt themselves above the law and supported themselves with petty crimes like burglaries and robberies.

So I'm kind of surprised that they are now aligning themselves politically because their original philosophy was apolitical and very cultish.

The GOP national chairman can talk all he wants, but his party isn't going to embrace important change. Any person running to be nominated in his party has to run the gauntlet of haters and racists to win the nomination because liberal republicans long ago decamped from that party and more moderate, if there truly are any in that party are leaving every day.

Chris Christie may look good now while leading New Jersey, but when he has to win primary races in Iowa, South Carolina, Alabama, Mississippi, ect, his tone will change to darkness to get the votes of haters and racists.

The best thing that leaders of the republican party can do is publicly reject haters and racists and strip them of their membership in that party. That move would immediately shave off the republican "base" and several state legislatures, but would bring back people that left the party and even bring in conservative democrats and play well with independents - my argument is that the last three groups are much larger in number than the republican "base".

Democrats had their come to Jesus moment after McGovern pulled the party too far to the left for the tastes of most Americans. The situation didn't correct itself until Clinton and centrist democrats took control of the party in the early 90s. It is illustrative that more social progress has taken place under centrists like Clinton and Obama than took place under any of the Left's heroes of the last 50 years.

From what I read the only thing they share is racism. One focused on ideology while the other is focused upon being a criminal organization.

However both organizations hate government. They seem to have a similar agenda for different reasons. Either way both organizations are dangerous domestic terrorists. The ability of the Brotherhood to intimidate law enforcement should send the alarm bells.

The purpose of my post is the racial hatred being flung about enables these organizations. The GOP in its zeal to appease its base creates unintended consequences. Once you have created and fed the beast you as well will become its victim.

It would seem to me that the individuals who have been murdered were likely Republicans or conservatives. A lot of law and order types are hardly liberals. Though the Colorado Dept of Corrections director was more oriented to helping inmates become productive citizens rather than just punishing them. A trait that is rare in today's corrections environment.

AB is involved with drug trafficking, prostitution rings etc. They are a true criminal group. Most criminal organizations hate law enforcement. However, most organized crime, the mafia, Mexican mafia etc, are smart enough not to target law enforcement.

I have no idea if the ongoing murders have anything to do with the rise of white supremacist hate groups.

The white supremacist/anti-govt groups are on the rise and we need to be prepared for their criminal activities too. The organized crime groups could spawn copy cat crimes from the anti-government groups.

I believe someone who called into the Texas tip line with a threat was a GOP gun nut. (He was arrested on $1 million bond)

The two types are different. In some respects the white supremacist/anti-govt groups are more of a threat than Aryan Brotherhood. The anti-govt groups are many and have a huge, huge base. I don't think the Aryan Brotherhood gives a darn about politics or govt.

If it has anything to do with Mexico it's more likely the case that some criminal gangs in the U.S. (that Wild West government demonizers like Rick Perry help to create and incite) are following the lead of the Mexican drug cartels in simply murdering the officials whose job it is to mete out justice.

and knows they have attracted these hateful people. I had no ill will toward the Republican Party of Eisenhower or even Nixon (until Watergate). But they bred their youthful dirty politicians under Nixon and those young dirty pols then went on to serve under the CONservatism of Reagan, where they cultivated and crafted racism to attract vulnerable whites, who otherwise would never have given republicans a second look. After seeing the gains they made in the South, they embraced it wholeheartedly and invited the racists knowingly and enthusiastically as they still do today.

KKK and the Aryans consider the GOP to be too liberal. I doubt that many of them vote for either of the two major parties. If they do vote at all, it's probably for parties such as the Libertarians or the Constitution Party.
