Chippewa and Jefferson county voters want Citizens United overturned
Local ballot measures were approved yesterday by landslides in Chippewa County as well as in the cities of Fort Atkinson and Whitewater supporting a constitutional amendment overturning the infamous Supreme Court ruling in the Citizens United case that allows unlimited special interest election spending.

In Chippewa County, 68% of voters expressed opposition to the Citizens United decision and supported reining in the money in politics. Support for overturning the ruling was even stronger in Fort Atkinson, where 77% approved the local referendum, and Whitewater, where 83% voted for it.

Time for a statewide vote.

Election day registration proves popular
Voters in Milwaukee overwhelmingly voiced their support yesterday for the right to register to vote at the polls on election day. Dane County voters supported it, too, by a whopping 82% to 18% margin.
