the country that are worried that they're next.
I can't believe that this guy is the only coach in the country that treated his players like he did. Any thoughts? Or am I being too cynical?

(21,363 posts)the boys, no girls allowed, back in the '50's and '60's. He almost got in a couple of fights after seeing other coaches smacking kids around and in the heads and cussing them. And he was no fighter, just a decent guy that treated the kids with respect.
No, you aren't being too cynical. Hope all the creeps out there are worried, they should be.

(4,033 posts)we have this type of coach at our high school. I have 2 nephews that played for this asshole. One nephew played for him for 4 years. His brother lasted 2 years. The younger brother wouldn't take the shit. When their father learned what had occurred, he asked his oldest why didn't you tell me. His son just shrugged. This son went on to play college football (DIII) and played 2 years of college basketball also. He has one NCAA ring and now has his MBA, he works in a bank.
When the youngest quit, it was after he spoke at a school board meeting. He called on the school board to uphold their firing of the coach. The school board did not uphold their firing of the coach. This was because after they did fire him, parents and other residents of the area screamed and threatened board members in order for them to change their minds. This son went on to play college football, he has 3 NCAA rings and graduates in May. He wants to work for the labor movement.
Coach was fired because he did not adhere to his contract (one in which he was to attain a certain college degree) this was because they had placed him in the classroom without the certifications.
It's all about winning, which this coach does. However, I have watched him during games where he verbally assaults his players. I was told at one game which I did not attend (where the opposing team was comprised of African American players) he was baiting the players and their coach with racist verbal assaults.
So it occurs everywhere.
