I don't want North Korea to have nuclear capabilities any more than anyone else, but I wonder

if the ill-conceived, stupid, arrogant, unnecessary, illegal invasion of Iraq by the US had any influence on North Korea's
current leadership.

What I'm saying, Saddam Hussein allowed the inspectors in and what good did it do him? The arrogant, dick-headed, PNAC fuckers PNAC in the form of the Bush gang invaded the country anyway, bombing them six ways from Sunday, causing untold suffering and death, which will continue as children with birth defects are born because of depleted uranium. And Hussein himself, of course, was executed.

The invasion of Iraq, IMO, taught other countries that you can't trust the US not to do a "pre-emptive strike" just because TPTB want to.

with him. We will not go to war with Korea unless they were that stupid to invade South Korea which they won't

So was being named as part of the "Axis of Evil". It may well have sped up their work on nuclear weaponry, but they were already going there. And they had to know they could do it with virtual impunity, since we were never going to preemptively strike NKorea with Big Brother China watching.

Shrub identified the "Axis of Evil" as Iraq, Iran, and North Korea. He invaded Iraq for no reason and we're now threatening Iran. North Korea is part of the mix as well.

It's the PNACer's "business plan": create bogeymen then spend decades confronting them.

Big dough for the well-connected.

IMO, this is history repeating it’s self, from Iraq to Iran and all countries in-between, profit and resources, not sure what resources NK has? One thing is certain if there is not money involved then there is no War. We do not go to War over moral causes; the bankers and the MIC drive this train.
