Great news! Tea party candidates LOST their elections in my county today.

In an election for community college trustees, there were 6 candidates and the top 4 were the winners. The 2 who lost are tea partiers.

In a state that has been literally taken over by the tea party, this is HUGE.

Please can they finally go away??

Our tea partiers are crazy.

They went to the candidate forum and asked about in-state tuition for undocumented kids. What can a community college trustee do about THAT?? It's a STATE policy. They also mention their candidate's military service. As if that matters for a college trustee??

Teh stupid. It burns.

keep pressure on teh ppl we elect to move forward progressively and use our mandate.

no corruption we gotta keep 'em honest too.

these local elections are *exactly* where we as boots-on-the-ground need to be focusing.

And one Walker-loving teahadist won, but one of them had to I guess.

The front page of today's newspaper speculated that the teabagger who defeated my Democratic congressman in 2010 is being considered for governor.

Maybe folks there are starting to wake up to just how radical those people are.

Remember, these minor local offices provide the field for possible state and then national runs later.

So this is a big deal, congratulations to Kansas!
