Possible job

I just got a response to a resume I sent out over a week ago. It is for an office management position for a political job - a get out the vote organization. The first phase is to analyze a spreadsheet and figure out expenses for a mailing. I have until next Monday - believe it or not this is going to be fun I get to use my brain again :-D Yeah!

it is full time - permanent. Well as permanent as anything is these days. Hell I was at my last job SO LONG 30+ years I figured it was where I would retire from but alas it was not to be they went bankrupt. If I get this gig I will feel like I am working where I can make something of difference.

I hope all goes well during your interview and you land the job. Sounds like a good fit. Good luck!

It took my son 3 years to land a 'good' job and we never know from year to year, sometimes month to month if he'll still have a job. He's young and had worked for the same company for 10 years when he was laid off along with 9,999 others world wide. He loved his job but the new one is really good for this area and requires his skill set. It's tough out there...don't lose hope.

But when it rains it pours.

I had about 19 months off... now I've had about 19months of work with about 11 days off along the way... with any luck you'll be at it long enough to come through the other side pining for days off.

It's not the worst thing, at all. But it would be nice if one could keep it all sane, one way or the other.

I haven't heard from this one yet BUT-- I have an interview on Tuesday for another one and just heard back from a third possible job. I have to email back the third one and set up a day next week for an interview. Amazing almost 20 months and now the hits finally start coming in -- maybe my own personal "Groundhog Day" is almost over. The latest one doesn't pay great but if "Tuesday" doesn't offer me the job I still have this one to fall back on.
