UPDATE: Wife's problem with Fed Jury Duty and her job.

So my wife got in touch with someone who views as being in charge of her panel. (As you might remember my wife's work place is making actually working impossible because of her Grand Jury duty. They won't place her with a client because of the jury duty BUT she can fill in for people who call off-- IF THEY call her. Right now she only has 8 hours a week and that is due to a friend asking her to work some extra hours with a client she works with.)

Well, long story short they aren't excusing my wife from jury duty HOWEVER they are claiming that they will get involve and take to her work place. My wife is expecting the worse and hoping for the best. She does have resume out and is looking.

This upcoming pay period she will only have 11 hours for a 2 week period.

She also found from her her friend that the client they are working for is getting jerked around by the company. They are in fact trying to reduce all the extra hours by the 23rd of april. Which means my wife will have NO HOURS at all. They will basically be able to keep her on the books without having to pay her and they don't have to fire her because if they don't have work they don't call her. she is EFFIN' SCREWED!!!!

She is also worried about making rent and she is trying to get us help paying bills like CAP and what not but she is concerned about what will happen. She has basically gone to averaging about 34 hours in a two week period to 11 hours however the pay stubs may not refect that because they seem to only want to hear the bottom line and she is trying to explain to these people that she is only getting 8 hours every week BUT if she fills in it could be more.

Cross your fingers for us please and anyother suggestions you may beable to give we would be thankful for.

What does the company gain from basically losing any employee that gets called to jury duty?
