Indiana Repubs reach another low...setting up abortion doctors for the terrorists

Abortion bill avoids amendment in Indiana House

INDIANAPOLIS - The fight over the bill that would put new restrictions on drug-induced abortions in Indiana continued Monday, as the House argued amendments for the bill, which passed the Senate in February.

The bill made it through Monday's debate unchanged, and it will be up for a final House vote Friday.

House Democrats were fighting to water down some provisions of the bill, including one that would require clinics that only dispense RU-486 to meet the same standards as clinics that perform surgical abortions.

Another amendment proposed by House Democrats challenged the bill's requirement that doctors include their names and addresses on legally required brochures.
