Women Are Giving The Ship On Abortion. Voting, Facebook, & Social Media Will Not Be Enough To Stop

the GOP from taking away abortion and contraceptive rights. The Churches and GOP are marching forward in their efforts. Any woman who thinks that voting, facebook and social media is enough is kidding themselves. Their strategy is sure working well in places like Kansas, North Dakota And Virginia. Hell in Virginia and Wisconsin you cannot even open your mouth or carry a sign at the capital without getting arrested. What will you do when the GOP takes your vote and limits your public speech?

In many places women have been and are being publicly silenced. And the GOP is making sure that women's vote won't count eventually. Enjoy your free speech zones in the middle of no where.

I realize what I am saying may be hard to admit, but I see the anti abortion forces as moving forward with little resistance. The most infuriating antichoice laws are on the books already and many are still being planned. And it looks like "personhood" will pass in Kansas and be signed by Brownbeck. If women's vote mattered in these states why are some of these bills being passed so overwhelmingly and even in veto proof margins?

If women are not losing choice why are so many of these laws on the books already?

but for some reason, many switch to align themselves with their husbands when they marry, and start voting for republicans.

to person. They need to approach them where ever they are. They need to make life uncomfortable for these slugs everywhere they go in public. Seek them out and challenge at the store, privately, in restaurants etc. Unless women start personally hounding these legislators and get nasty they will take all the rights away.

Women need to be more like the NRA in their challenge. Based on what I am witnessing voting has not been enough.

very similar to the one described in Margaret Atwood's brilliant novel "The Handmaid's Tale".

I suggest that every liberal read this novel; the possibility of this dark, ugly "Bushite" society becoming a reality should frighten every liberal into serious committed progressive activism on all fronts.
