West coast fires.

A few years ago, during Turnip's reign, of course...it crossed my mind that during a heavy fire season, the extreme right would use the vulnerability of the west coast's fire season to bring down the left-leaning power that has been building over the years.

Right now, I'm sure many of you know, fires are at an extreme peak on the west coast—and some states inland. I can't help but wonder how many of these fires were the result of MAGA types—or even terrorist arsonists. I know some were caused by lightning strikes, others were morons who just didn't think before striking a match, or use of other fire-related device, but there are so many fucking fires, I have no doubt some of these are MAGA bonehead puppet related.

Considering what Trump and his evil henchmen have been doing to throw this election, these fires are way too crazy right now to simply say it's mother nature.

...if I'm not mistaken (someone with more historic knowledge can correct me), Japan looked into brush fires in California in the early years of WWII.

“...Firefighters responded Wednesday to someone attempting to start fires at Dexter State Recreation Area, the fire chief said in a social media post.

Peterson said a middle-aged man with arm tattoos was seen "lighting two fires in the bushes as you turn towards the dam."

The chief said "several good Samaritans extinguished the fire prior to our arrival."

He asked the public to be on the lookout for a man with a black German Shepherd driving a green Ford or Chevy SUV. Anyone with information about the man is asked to contact law enforcement.

The nation is at fire preparedness level 5, or PL 5. That means most firefighting resources are already committed to incidents, and few crews are available to send to new, emerging fires.”

“ DEXTER, Ore. – A suspect has been arrested in connection with a small brush fire in Dexter, the Lane County Sheriff’s Office said.

Deputies said they learned of a fire near the frisbee golf course at about 1:45 p.m. on Wednesday.

The fire was in a wooded area near the 39000 block of Highway 58. It was about 5 feet in diameter. Two people playing frisbee golf put out the fire.

A man was seen leaving the area in a minivan shortly before the fire was found.

The sheriff’s office investigated the fire.

Jonathan Maas, 44, of Springfield was arrested on Thursday. He faces a charge of first-degree arson.

Deputies said the fire had potential to spread quickly, and thanked the community members who spotted the fire and put it out before it could hurt anyone or damage any structures.”

Too many. Unimaginable that we could even think this. What a staggering cost. The trees, the animals, the air.

Republican strong holds. And probably don't care. They want to get Newsom out of office, and create chaos in the blue states. IMO.

However, given the extreme drought conditions in much of this country, I honestly doubt that arson is truly the basic problem. The basic problem is global warming and far too many people living in places prone to fire. Not to mention lightning strikes, which we know for sure were the cause of a whole lot of the recent California fires.

Plus, Australia has experienced extreme fires recently. Do you think they are mainly from arson? Or again, might global warming coupled with drought conditions be more the culprit?

Europe has likewise in recent years had severe forest fires. Are the arsonists operating around the world? How is your supply of tin foil holding up?

But there are hundreds of fires in all three blue states. Plus, as you can see above, someone mentioned witnesses saw a man with tattoos, a pickup truck and a black German Shepherd lighting three fires.
