Just two weeks ago, the Calcasieu Parish Police Jury – similar to a county commission or council — voted to keep the Confederate monument in its place next to a large oak tree at the courthouse. As Laura mangled the statue, its winds also ripped several limbs from the tree, leaving the grass littered with debris.

2. So, the county COULD HAVE saved the statue somewhere with histporical significance, but now

it's GONE! In pieces! Hope they're happy now.

4. The old Confederate knew he overextended his visit,..

.. and galloped off into the sunset. But he tripped and fell splat at the base of the monument. His head got dented. But he had a bigger dent in his head the day he became a dirty traitor to the USA.

So the second dent was not so bad. Of course he pride was bruised,... but remember this man was a dirty filthy traitor and the disgrace - he brought upon himself alone.

He is lucky he was not shot or hanged from the nearest street light pole, as is customarily done with traitors.
