Navy suit, white shirt, red tie, black shoes. It's ubiquitous to the point of absurdity. Does no one in Washington have a little sartorial creativity?

Mid-blue suit and light blue shirt were a nice departure.

And wearing nice mid-tan shoes instead of the traditional black or cordovan shows a hint of risk-taking.

I'm a clothes-horse. I notice these things...

His clothes fit him him perfectly, from what I see. Nothing hangs loosely or appears to swallow him.

With a blue suit, he should be wearing black shoes. Or maybe gray, if he wants to be really daring. Brown is just right out.

The lighter blue suit does give a nice summer feel, IMHO.

Cordovan, rather than black, is the preferred color to accompany navy-blue suits. Black shoes just make the navy suit look more like a uniform. However, in the last ten years or so, a lighter mid-tan shoe has become a popular addition to the blue and navy suit. Justin Trudeau has rocked the look (along with some fun crazy-socks!)

So many people have moved away from tailored clothing because of the fusty image they provoke. I like it when guys show a little fashion-daring with tailored clothing.

The right-wingers shit themselves when Barack Obama wore a tan suit. But I liked the way he broke out of the staid, conservative tradition of navy-suit, white shirt, red tie uniform.

Amy Klobuchar told Judy Woodruff that she asked Kamala what her husband was wearing for toning...
because that's a question they always ask about the wives.

With trDump going through more cans of hairspray in one day than Dolly Parton did when she was 17 years old,... maybe that does not matter much any more.
