it has nothing to do with Senator Kamala Harris. There was a WWE (or whatever the WWE was back in the day) wrestler named Kamala who died. He was known as the Ugandan Giant. I remember him from my childhood. He was 70, and a good performer.

1. I first saw him

back when he was in WCCW battling the von Erich family. He made a very simple character interesting and fearsome.

I never noticed the irony of his coincidental surname.

but Twitter has RIP Kamala on its front page. I about lost it upon seeing it.

He was a good performer back in the day, and I loved the Von Erics. Being into good looking males I took more than a passing interest in seeing buff guys in skimpy clothes writhing around on the tv screen.
