Illinois is releasing mask enforcement guidelines as of tomorrow.
Mostly targeting businesses flouting the effort.
That's all I've got.
He's on live, right now!

(33,980 posts)The new rules set out a three-step process that give businesses two chances to comply before theyre hit with a fine.
Businesses that dont comply with the mask mandate will be given a warning in the form of a written notice. If they dont voluntarily comply, they will then be ordered to have patrons leave their property as needed to comply with public health guidance and reduce risks, Pritzkers office said in a news release announcing the rules.
If businesses still do not comply, they can receive a Class A misdemeanor, subject to a fine of $75 to $2,500.

(64,804 posts)He just made them official.
IDPH did post them on the dot gov page Friday, but they weren't in effect.
They are now.

(13,536 posts)the mask mandate at businesses. It's not exactly fair to put confronting scofflaws on your average employees. They have it bad enough risking working. Our Walmart had a uniformed security guard last time I was there.

(64,804 posts)One of our 2 plazas (there's only around 7,000 here) has supermarket, pharmacy, liquor & hardware store. (Liquor store has gas pumps, too.)
Grocer & drug store, nearly 100%. Hardware store, 7 of 8, tops.
Liquor store, 50% or less.
Everything else there are offices & specialty shops. Haven't even walked by those windows to see about masks.
So, some places great, others not so much.
