Take a day trip, look on internet and find a restaurant 100 miles away and not have to call and see if they are still open. I don't want have to think before I leave the house for anything. Guess I want memories, ty to WH..at 60 years old, never thought I would need to think this way....

(7,715 posts)and over again, and randomly some cans become available. However, delivery dates are hard to come by here, and Amazon sends you a text when you have just a 2 hour window to confirm and complete your purchase. Since you don't complete a purchase until you get a delivery date, the cans of Lysol (or wipes or whatever) are almost always sold out.
You then have to repeat the tragic cycle until that blessed moment when Lysol is available AND you get a delivery date/time.
Thank you, Donald Trump and Republicans. I will never forgot how you have destroyed life for us and for so many people, both literally and figuratively.

(10,039 posts)you could do all those things. We here in Canada can and do do those things but safely and with masks. Most countries in Europe and Asia you can also do those things. It is up to the people of the US to take back control of your lives. Vote for someone who will bring those things back. It will be harder for Biden to get that control because it has been left to grow, but he must put in controls and one of those things is masks. It is time for everyone out there to start refusing to let those who don't wear masks get away with it. Embarrass the hell out of the if stores won't kick people out without masks, stop shopping there and let them know why.Stop this nonsense of allowing them to get away with "it is taking my freedoms away".

(21,719 posts)She went to four different stores and said three of them had 100% mask compliance.
I am just wanting to go for a nice drive to a bookstore. There are zero in my town. I haven't been to a bookstore since February.
I've got masks, safety glasses and sanitizer. If I get there and it looks sketchy, I will leave.

(13,547 posts)disabled. On the other hand, I have dieted and busted my ass exercising to rehabilitate myself as best as I can. I was really looking forward to being able to get out and do some fun stuff again. It's been a long ordeal.
I was really hoping it would be cool by now to at least go to an outdoor concert or two. I think it could have been. Here in my Idaho town, we were not hit real hard with COVID at first. Now it's still nowhere near as bad as a lot of places, but we started seeing more cases again. It's probably riskier to go out now than it ever was.
I'm planning to have my left shoulder replaced after the first of the year and need my right knee and hip done as soon as possible as well. But I'm really doing relatively well and looking pretty good at 59 too. I'd love to meet nice lady, and think I'd do pretty well out there. It really sucks to still be hiding out, but I'm not letting up.
