White House ‘concocted a positive feedback loop’ to mislead Trump into thinking he’s doing an excellent job on coronavirus: report

President Donald Trump’s chaotic White House resulted in “a lost summer” in the battle against coronavirus, according to a new in-depth report by The Washington Post.

The newspaper interviewed “41 senior administration officials and other people directly involved in or briefed on the response efforts” for the story, with multiple former officials offering anonymous quotes.

The report explains the skepticism of science and experts by White House chief of staff Mark Meadows.

“Meadows is not alone in being skeptical of medical expertise, part of the politics-first, science-second attitude that has become pervasive inside the White House this summer — and which has been championed foremost by Trump,” The Post noted.

He isn’t given the whole picture. He had no response and it was clear.

Now, was the messaging supposed to be HOW our medical infrastructure has treated those who test positive? If it was Trump either forgot it or was so thrown off he lost connection with talking points.

Jared huh? No wonder the Clustertrump continues getting worse. Who the hell wouldn’t dump him by now...oh Trump yeah Mr. Loyalty.

6. Mind experiment: Imagine one of Obama's staff telling him, "You're doing a great job."

I'm guessing a few things would immediately happen:

1. Obama would ask why it was said and about what issue.
2. Obama would bring it up with his chief of staff to get a background on the staffer
3. Obama would re-check whatever his plans on the issue were with detractors
4. The Chief would explain to the staffer that opinions like that should be kept to one's self because they all serve a the pleasure of Obama and the cabinet. Because there's no time for staffer's opinions unless they are designated advisors with all necessary information at hand.

But I could be wrong.

the rest is self-protection from his neurological/demented belligerence and personality disorders if his delusions of grandeur aren't back-reported by GOP faithful and complicit with the "at-bay-it-shay" in the Oval, quid pro quo, their lucrative salaries, resume boosting positions, and superior healthcare, et al benefits. Dump that barrel in every level in every state as though it were hazardous waste!

11. The WaPo article basically blames Meadows and Pences COS for the whole ball of crap.

That makes me wonder who's leaking to the press. Jared is mysteriously unmentioned, but lots of high praise for improved supply chains is included. So I'd guess it's his personal WH clique and his gang of clueless business school buddies that are behind the story.

Jared always seems to win out in these behind the scenes West Wing follies, despite his utter incompetence. That attenuated body of his must come equipped with dagger-sharp elbows. Hence, I'm betting Meadows is out by the end of the week.

They refuse to use their names and what positions they're in, in order to make money off the deaths of Americans. These creeps are enabling trump to kill thousands of Americans each week. These people can fuck the right off. Stop being cowards and aiding in the killing of thousands of people each week. Grow some spines, stop with the anonymous bullshit.

that everything is 'perfect', because all the flunkies' jobs depend on that. And the one in charge thinks that will make them popular. And that's what matters, not if what they do have any good effect in reality.

also helped create something similar for Nixon when the country was being roiled by the VN war protests. They created supportive letters and calls to the WH switchboard so Nixon would believe the country agreed with him and not the protestors.

When you give him bad news, he flies into a rage, threatens your job, etc. All those who could work somewhere else....already left. They had capable skills and experience.

So he's stuck with staff that is incompetent and fearful of losing their job. There probably are some who are competent...but they see this as a good book/media deal and/or profiting off of his stupidity.

So to placate his three minute rage, they just tell him what he wants to hear. Remember, very early in his Admin he was given a dossier every day praising him. And we all saw those first cabinet meetings where they all took a knee and kissed his ass. And he loved it. Funny, whenever someone kissed my ass when in a managerial/mentor role....it pissed me off.
