That's on top of asking parents to send their children into the petri dish.

It can be a hybrid but absolutely must include in person learning. I teach special education and my students cannot distance, control their body fluids, have aggressive behaviors such as biting and spitting. We have been ordered to return..not even asked our opinions as teachers. We have families and ourselves to think about. My students are not required to wear masks because of their disability. I am very shocked at Gov. Murphy's directive- I was a fan when we successfully flattened the curve here after the horrific months of March/April. But he has asked teachers in my public special education school to put their lives on the line. Teaching assistants, custodial staff, speech therapists, Occupational therapists also- all at risk for bringing this virus home. He gave the students a choice but not the staff.

Every parent should ask their school when sending their children back if there are classrooms such as mine in their building. My students put the entire building at risk- typical classrooms as well we use common bathrooms,
Hallways, entrances, etc. My daughter will not be returning to her school for this very reason, among many others.

I hate to be a naysayer, but I smell a disaster brewing - even in NJ where the infectious rate is well below the 5% threshold.

the previous months of this pandemic look like a walk in the park.

Sometimes, I wish I could just be sedated from now until the end of 2020.
