She said she and her friends are going to make him pay not only for all these deaths, but also for their missed final term in high school, their prom, their messed up summer and the confusion about college. They really really hate him. They are in Texas.
I loved that she called it their CoronaVote. Pass it on!

Hurricane Irma destroyed much of their sophomore year and Hurricane Rump wiped out their senior year.
We were so excited to talk about how he will do as a college student, far from home on his own. Normally our discussion would center around choosing his major, wondering about his dorm and campus. Now much of it is about warnings to mask, the need to social distance from new friends and classmates, staying safe because this is Florida, hot spot state.
He and his friends have already made plans on where and when they will vote. Im sure this wouldnt have been a priority for a new college kid any other year, but they have a bit of pay back on their agendas

(3,064 posts)But the voter suppression here. And among so many things the need to correct this will be high on our priority.
Anyway, the flop sweat rolling off the Dotard is obvious.
He's losing and losing badly. His own internal polling is telling him this.
And how stupid does someone have to be to publicly speculate on ways to either cheat once again or talk of staying past his ill gotten four years. That I hope he tries. I'd love to see him given the bum's rush and then tossed out on his fat behind into the hands of the New York justice system and then the Manhattan Correctional Center.

(613 posts)One of the biggest weaknesses of the Democratic Party is that young people support it but they DONT VOTE.
Old people turn out, and young people dont.
If what youre saying is true, and young people turn out in large numbers, November will be a Democratic landslide beyond our imagination.
Tell her to make sure she votes for the Democratic Senate candidate too!!!!

I hope that your state has a straight ticket block but if not, please remind them to vote all the way to the bottom. Tell them that is how these maniacs took over, by starting with school boards, city councils, county judges, over 40 years ago. Those positions are stepping stones to legislatures, Congress, judicial appointments and so on.

Maybe sabotaging the USPS - used by the older Fox indoctrinated conservatives types - is possibly a strategy to backfire ?

he called it a hoax - then your final term was on line, your prom was canceled, your parents were sent packing from work, your summer was messed up and you're still not sure if college will be on line or in person.

I think they detest this monster more than even some of us on DU do. This is the world we're potentially leaving them and they ARE NOT happy about it! They're doing everything they can to turn this ship in another direction. I'm SO proud of these upcoming generations! One nephew and his wife are Gen-X-er's and the other and his wife are Millennials.

(5,524 posts)I think this group of kids was already pretty blue considering how they grew up in the school shooting years. They are also very diverse when it comes to race and gender equality.
I think the age old question is whether it will get them to the polls in significantly higher numbers. They have the power to change everything if they choose to use it.
My feeling is that the last six months will encourage voting at a rate we have never seen.
That is a guess but I can tell you our personal experience. My daughter spent hours researching minor judges and community service boards to vote absentee in our primary last week. She will do what it takes to vote this year and I have no doubt who that will be for.
