My friend came in the store, where I worked in New York, and told me Paul Wellstone was killed in an airplane crash.. she was crying so hard.

We can grieve the way we want to.

I had to miss most of this today. He was on fire.

Something I noticed as he was speaking, as he turned from time to time his memorial pin for John Lewis flashed a bright light. Yes it was the overhead lights that caught John's image, yet it flashed brightly. John is still with us, in our hearts and souls.

Thanks so much for posting this portion of his speech, Cha.

Peace

Clinton, too. And to some extent of late, even George Bush.

I get wistful, too. I felt safe with Obama. I felt comfort and dignity. I’m in my sixties and with the horrible mess that Trump has made, I know it will take longer than my lifetime for ANY one to fix that mess. I’ll never feel safe again.

And it really pisses me off that I’ve been robbed of that.

It's just so hard to believe anyone could be so entrenched in a belief system based on such blatant and easily disproved lies. I always knew to RW propaganda machine was strong, but I must have thought there was a limit to just how much reality the subjects could deny.
