Oh sway can you see.
President Trumps struggles to stand still during a Memorial Day visit to Arlington National Cemetery lit up social media Monday, prompting users to recall past incidents in which the commander in chief, who turns 74 next month, struggled to find a balance.
Is the President having trouble standing up straight as the National Anthem begins at Arlington Cemetary (sic) or am I seeing things? Joshua Potash from Queens asked on Twitter.
The Trump critic posted that video, along with another clearly showing the president swaying in front of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.

It was a sped-up video of Trump standing next to Dr. Birx.
It was stunning to see Trump bobbing and swaying while Birx was relatively (normal) still. Something is wrong. Nobody else involved today did that.

(4,483 posts)while standing still. He's wearing them more and more. You can tell when he has them in by the way his arms hang at his sides when he stands. If he has no lifts in, his arms hang pretty much straight down, parallel to his back and front. When the lifts are in, his arms hang straight down but in front of his body. The angle between his arms and his back increases so much that his hands are actually a couple of inches in front of his belly.
Well, that and he's pitched forward like the mermaid on a pirate ship's prow.

(4,483 posts)Lifts are different from high heels besides--but he could ask Melania how to do it. Plus I think an old woman not used to wearing heels would have trouble standing still--at attention--in them. He doesn't have a problem when he's walking.

(5,807 posts)to try to maintain his balance. Lots of older folks get balance issues and if he is adding inches to his height with lifts, it is probably making it even harder to maintain his balance. He could work on his balance with exercise but that lazy ass wouldnt admit he has a problem to work on. A physical therapist could help him. Probably the first thing theyd tell him is to ditch the lifts.

(32,595 posts)about Pence also. When they walked in and he had his arms down at his side his hands did not hang with the palms facing toward his legs with thumbs forward like a normal person. Instead his hands rolled in and his thumbs faced his legs and his knuckles were forward.

(6,197 posts)that he's saluting.
And I don't care that he's the commander in chief.
All lower case there on purpose.

(82,849 posts)He's trying to do two things at once (saluting and standing still), and that usually doesn't go well for him.

(5,275 posts)Yep the drugs he now takes, the coke he allegedly took for years, his lifts, etc, his supposed need for an adult diaper.....he is a total mess....and despite that tens of millions will vote for him this November. There is a sickness in this country thanks to 30 years of conservative media propaganda.

(11,032 posts)I don't like it but accept it.
However, it chaps my old Army ass to see Cadet Bonespurs rendering a military salute for the National Anthem, etc.
