Woman arrested after posting xenophobic letters on Asian-Americans’ homes in California town

Nancy Arechiga, who lives in the town about 15 miles south of Berkeley, was caught on camera putting up letters telling people who were not from the U.S. initially to go … somewhere. The xenophobic letters were aimed mainly at Asians, and got her arrested.

Police in San Leandro, California, nabbed a 52-year-old woman posting racist letters on Asian people’s homes and around town.

Nancy Arechiga, who lives in the town about 15 miles south of Berkeley, was caught on camera putting up letters telling people who were not from the U.S. initially to go … somewhere.

“You, because we consider you’re a stranger, one bad person for this country, leave, go far away, go back to your country, the place you belong. Leave this place,” read one of the letters, riddled with grammatical errors.

“If you are a woman or man and was born in other country, return, go back to your land immediately, fast, with urgency,” read another letter, posted in the neighborhood. “The Principle of free governments adheres to the American soil. It is bedded in it, immovable as its mountains. We the People: do ordain to you to leave this house. One American, white, brave, that serves the Nation or USA is going to live here. You have until the day May/23/2020 Saturday 10:30 a.m. to leave this country. In this place no Asian allowed.”

Or early Virginians were named Arechiga? Maybe I’m wrong?

Thinking not to far back in Nancy’s ancestry they felt what she is giving out.

Fucking bitch. Hope she had a job she needed and now no longer has.

I see that it is Basque.

However, at this point and time the country with the largest number of people with that surname is Mexico.

sssssh - Don't tell her.

No surprise that surname is common in Mexico.

Not very WASPish.

That Trump sprinkled some extra seasoning on.

Sociopaths are not mentally ill.

Man menaces Asian woman in NYC, shouting ‘Wuhan, you’re the reason’
By Larry Celona and Kenneth Garger
May 24, 2020 | 10:56pm

A man was arrested Sunday night for allegedly menacing an Asian woman in Manhattan while screaming “Wuhan, you’re the reason,” law enforcement sources said.

Nikolas Long, 38, is accused of threatening the 44-year-old victim with a glass bottle at about 7:30 p.m. on 6th Avenue near West 11th Street in Greenwich Village, sources said.

His remarks toward her were an apparent reference to Wuhan, China, where the coronavirus outbreak first erupted late last year.

Long, who has 18 prior arrests, was busted at about 9 p.m. less than a block away from the alleged attack.

an area where these behaviors still triggered mental health involvement.

Jail and fines discourage a whole lot of this, but jail plus at least some counseling might really help her. And her community. Might.

Failing that, how about a court order that she's to stay off social media until she's demonstrated control for a year?

It's still no excuse. She needs to face consequences and get help. I mostly just pity her.

it could be her married name (if anyone would have her) and not her maiden name.

Doesn't absolve her of her cruelty or her actions. And since she mentions going back to their native lands, I suggest she finds where her ancestors came from and get packing, get moving. Because this land was invaded by a lot of countries. The only natives left are the ones who "we the people" killed and drove into worthless treaties, and then forced to live on reservations. We the people still treat the natives as how we the people were made to believe about them.

SAD!
