Covidiot contagion is spreading to Central FL now

The crowd has doubled in size. Aside from them not social distancing, @OrlandoPolice say organizers did not file for a special permit that’s required for a gathering of more than 100 people. Officers are here, but have not intervened. @WFTV #WFTV #COVID19

They are chanting, “Open up the state!” with some people adding, “Today!” The President yesterday announced a 3-phase approach to reopening our communities, with at least a two-week monitoring period between each phase.

Saddened that the police aren't dispersing these #MAGAt #Covidiots

And they're gathered (in the top video) at the Orange County Public School offices in downtown Orlando.

lovely.

Will the epitaph be, "They died for a good cause?"

If they keep up this gathering like that and antsy-pantsy, premature openings, we are looking at a potentially big and early Second Wave. We barely have it under any kind of control now and are only dealing with the curve, which I guess these people are not capable of understanding.

Well, give all those great patriots out there a nod, because many will be sick for weeks and some will die a rather gruesome death for their efforts. You could call death liberation, but there are some qualifications for that.

Confusion will be my epitaph
As I crawl a cracked and broken path
If we make it we can all sit back and laugh
But I fear tomorrow I'll be crying
Yes I fear tomorrow I'll be crying
Yes I fear tomorrow I'll be crying
Crying...
Crying...

One sign says, “Stop the madness, save lives.” It appears this crowd does not believe in social distancing to do that.

And they have tiny kids there, too!!!

"Hundreds of paid GOP operatives descended upon South Florida to protest the state's recounts, with at least half a dozen of the demonstrators at Miami-Dade paid by George W. Bush's recount committee. Several of these protesters were identified as Republican staffers and a number later went on to jobs in the Bush administration."

Apart from looking rather disheveled, this seems like the same sort astroturf movement, probably paid for by rightwing organizations. After Trump loses in November, these folks will hit the streets en masse, probably armed. I wonder if the cops will ignore that as well.

"There are some people who don’t accept science as facts and I suspect that’s some of who's outside,” Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer said of the protest.

They probably drove in from here in Lake County. Probably north Lake. Or maybe some rubes from Apopka or Bithlo.

That not half a mile from the Pulse location. Used to live very close to there.

We used to live in Delaney park. Near Lake Davis.

How are you and your...um, employees doing?

The wife and I will be fine. But worried sick about our employees. If I can call them that. Jointly we have over 70 years.

Our hearts are breaking.

And that area is depressed. But has one of the best breweries in Florida.

Stay safe. Hoping you will be making magic soon.

Loved going for walks around that area. Discovered a good hot dog place by the Amtrak station!

Always thought Delaney Park was a nice area. Established homes, big trees, some cobblestone streets. What is the brewery? Wasn’t aware of one here.

Today is technically my last day of work but I won’t be doing anything. I’ll hook all my corporate laptops up to the VPN for one last touch with home base for updates and whatnot and change my password in the hopes of being back before 90 days is up (not likely)

On a positive note, got notification late last night that Disney will file our initial unemployment claims for us. Given the problems FL has had w/its system, this should help tremendously. We still have to submit secondary information and keep on top of it but they’ll handle the hardest part, thankfully

Cheers and “See ya real soon! ha ha”

Charles is the owner. A good guy an hell of a brewer. They are still selling take crowlers. He makes a dark IPA called Liquid Vinyl that is one of the best in the city. Stop in an help him out if you are inclined.

I just got home from work. It was sad. Hopefully we will be making magic soon enough.

I’m closer to Suncreek but the Can is close. Of course none are open for serve there. But most are open for crowler carry out. Crooked Can’s Red Ale is really good.

I was supporting them at locals to the exception of National brands till news of the furlough hit. Now just buying a few a week.

Stay safe.
