Well, tonight we got the call that we've been dreading. Our plumber was over today to fix our

badly leaking kitchen faucet. We maintained six feet separation but he was in our house! He was with someone two days ago who was diagnosed today. I’m not sure how to feel. Has anyone else gotten The Call? Holy crap.

I did wear my leather gloves the other day and just threw them on the passenger seat floor to sit for a few days. Today I wore my white cotton gloves that I wear at night when I put cream on my hands. At least It was something. A have a small amount of purell while I only have a 1 container wipes....everything else was sold out.

My sister had 2 N95's before she retired last year. She gave them to my niece who as of last week was floated to the CCU where she took care of 15 virus patients, all were intubated. It is not a huge hospital, yet they are already running out of masks. Proper use of the masks, you must be fitted for them. Better than nothing.

use a large scarf folded in two with a piece of regular paper pinned in the middle of the fold. Tie it so the paper covers the nose and mouth and is tight to the sides of the face.

Not medical grade, and its hot, but good enough for mu daily walks and grocery runs.

Our refrigerator picked an inopportune time to start having problems, so we had to call in a professional after I failed to fix it myself.
The first thing he asked when he arrived was, "Is anyone in the household sick?" He also asked me to keep my distance, and I was, of course, happy to oblige.

It's been 12 days since then, and we haven't received The Call, fortunately.

Apparently there has been some testing, and an exposed person has been interviewed and listed his contacts.

And then someone called and warned the potentially exposed people.

Exposures are being tracked, and that tracking information is being used to warn contacts. This is what needs to be done.

I know it is scary, and I hope you and yours are well. But at least you have been warned, so you know not to expose your friends, family, neighbors. And to be alert for symptoms.

48. Some things you can do
Wed Apr 1, 2020, 12:59 PM
Apr 2020

Based on research I’ve been closely following on a daily basis, these could help if you want to take action. The sooner the better, seriously.

Get a lot of sleep and as much exercise as you’re comfortable with. Drink a lot of water.

Take elderberry, zinc, vitamins C and D3, and if you can afford it, Asian mushrooms or an Asian mushroom supplement/tincture (reishi & maitake especially, even shiitake) to strengthen your immune system to find and start killing the virus. It’s likely that melatonin will also help fight the virus.

Start using saline rinse in your nose and also gargle with salt water a few times a day. This is important because the virus starts its course in your nose and throat for at least the first several days and you want to lower your viral load to have an easier time of it. Doing this also makes you less likely to get anyone else sick from shedding live virus.

Avoid sugar/simple carbs and saturated fats to the extent you can

If you take an ARB or an ACE inhibitor, contact your doctor to see if you can be put on an alternative drug for several weeks.

Also get the air circulating in your house as much as possible.

IMO it’s crazy that CDC and the states aren’t putting this info out there.

Good luck, Cousin!
