Remember that Twilight Zone episode, "To Serve Man"?

The one where the aliens presented the human race with a miracle book that would teach us the secrets of the galaxy that only needed to be translated into human languages? And that ended with the discovery that the masses of people who had trusted these aliens and boarded humongous transport ships to their native planet were to become the delicious ingredients to alien dishes, because the book wasn't a manifesto, it was a cookbook? Yeah, that one.

May 21, 2020. How will the psychophants that comprise the Trump Nation be coping with a major pandemic sweeping through Redland on the shores of Denial as they fall one after the other with no stable plan in place to protect them? Will they see that they've been duped, but realize too late, like the victims in To Serve Man? Or will Trump have already brainwashed them into blaming something else, someone else? China? Martial law enforced by the MAGA squad?

I wish I didn't have to compare the near future in the USA to a duotone television program, but the themes are strikingly similar and I think America is about to become consumed.

Godspeed Uncle Joe and Aunt Nancy. We need you now more than ever before.

Where the nebbish bank clerk gets sealed in a bank vault and misses the nuclear war that ends civilization.

Been in the house so long I am wondering what is going on in the world.

And when everything is back to as close to normal as possible, they'll blame it all on libruls and fake news.
Nothing enlightens the willfully ignorant.

Watching everyone heap praise on Dear Leader so he doesn't send them to the cornfield, or worse.

(tRump as Billy Mumy, except Mumy was a little more mature acting.)
