Curry powder is made from turmeric+coriander+ginger+chili....all have anti-bacterial proerties.
Turmeric is a good natural expectorant, may be helping expel covid virus before it sets up a colony in lungs.

1. It is already excruciatingly hot there, virus has no chance to survive outside of human body
Unlike United States, hottest month in India are APril-May. Monsoons show up in June-July and cool down the air
2. Indians do NOT shake hands, the greetings is namaste.
3. Indians live in low quality sanitary conditions, which boosts their resistance to various diseases
4. India is carefully checking people coming from infected areas.
5. Curry is a great killer of bacteria and may be viruses. (Turmeric+coriander+ginger+chili powder)

If there is one thing I enjoy more than anything else in USA is so many peaceful and quiet places to live.
My house has dense woods behind the back yard. No traffic noise whatsoever.
Last time I was in India it was loud traffic noise beginning at 5 am in the house where I grew up.
It was nothing like that when I left in 1960.

Curry (Gali 咖喱 ) is a very popular dish in China (where I lived for five years) and certainly I almost never saw a dish that didn't include ginger, garlic and cilantro. Those are all staples in the Chinese diet.

It gets very hot in Central China and Iran and Brazil and Italy and Spain and Malaysia and Australia (where it's the height of summer at the moment).

There's no evidence that either temperature or diet affects the spread of the disease.

There is evidence that Modi's government is corrupt and that India lacks the healthcare infrastructure of some of the other countries (like South Korea) that are successfully containing the spread.

Therefore it is a lot more likely that the issue stems from lack of testing than the magic healing powers of turmeric.

India has reported around 125 cases of the coronavirus, and it is a bit of a mystery how the world’s second-most-populous nation, with 1.3 billion people, has remained relatively unscathed while the number of cases explodes to its east and west. That has spawned a sense of almost disbelief about the crisis in some quarters.

Doctors say it is either that there are many more cases in India than have been detected, because of the difficulties of getting tested, or that India has indeed managed to so far escape the worst, possibly because of quick and strict efforts right from the start.

In Kerala, in the south, the authorities used GPS technology, CCTV footage and mobile phone records to trace the movements of one Indian family believed to be among the first infected here. They returned from Italy in late February, and within days, medical teams fanned out to all the places they had visited including banks, restaurants and churches and quickly quarantined just about everyone they had come in contact with — nearly 1,000 people.

India was also one of the first nations to essentially shut its borders, canceling visas and denying entry to all but a select few foreigners. Some states, such as Kerala, are beginning to beef up internal borders, taking the temperature of passengers in cars and screening people on trains.

curry is a very popular dish, especially in hot pot restaurants. I ate it at least on a weekly basis with friends when I lived there. Thinking back more or less any group meal I ate in a restaurant included at least one curry dish (generally curried beef and potatoes or curry hot pot).

It's not as common in Chinese restaurants in America because (obviously) when Americans go to Chinese restaurants they want "Chinese" food - fried rice and sweet and sour pork. But there is a huge diversity of regional cuisines in China which reflect a number of ethnic groups. China borders India and they share some common dishes. We also don't think of KFC as being "Chinese" but that doesn't mean people in China don't consume a lot of fried chicken.

And literally every single dish in China contains ginger. If it had any impact on Covid-19, why were cases spiking there?

There's no evidence that anything other than medical and social interventions (like testing and social distancing) have any impact on the spread of Covid-19 and it's frankly irresponsible at this point to be speculating that there is some magic dietary ingredient that will protect people from getting it or improve their outcomes.

remember the best fighter against any virus is your own body.
Anti-biotics work only with bacterial infections.
So give your body what it needs to produce lots of anti-bodies which will know how to identify the virus and kill it.
Eat nutritious foods, get plenty of sleep, keep well hydrated, do deep breathing exercise before and after bed time, avoid alcohol and no smoking!
And consume turmeric in any form, it is a natural expectorant which helps expel bad stuff from lungs.
