Johnson--for all appearances the result of a telepod accident involving Donald Trump and Rob Ford--has decided that Britons should just lie back and enjoy it. Welcome their disease overlords. Surrender peacefully. Let it happen. Let it just wash over them.

(44,986 posts)One ought never to turn ones back on a threatened danger and try to run away from it. If you do that, you will double the danger. But if you meet it promptly and without flinching, you will reduce the danger by half. Never run away from anything. Never!

Draconian measures in China have halted the logarithmic growth. No other country can demonstrate such an effective response.
I live in the U.K. now. This idiot scares the living (not yet infected) shit out of me.

(32,074 posts)You stuck yourselves with your own Donald Trump. Even looks like him. It's beyond me why anyone would believe that shitsacks like this assclown and our syphilitic, orange wankmaggot are in any way capable of heading a country, let alone running it properly.

"We shall defend our island, whatever the cost may be, we shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the landing grounds, we shall fight in the fields and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills; we shall never surrender."

(101,265 posts)and he was explaining that 'some' thought we should just 'take it on the chin' in one go, but that is not what he is doing, on scientific advice. Full interview - the question is asked at 6:00:
"I think it would be better if we take all the measures that we can now just to stop the peak of the disease being as difficult for the NHS as it might be"
If you want to criticise the Tories, it should be about the number of nurses etc. in the NHS going into this, which the interviewers move on to.
