GOP (Putin) use of coronavirus scare to keep people away from the polls?

I haven't read anything about it, but I'm 100% certain that the GOP (and Putin) have hopes of using the coronavirus as a tool to scare voters away from polls in November.

To cancel the election when he realizes he can't win. Declare a national emergency, and bypass Congress? Then he can claim we don't need Congress , just him.

9. IF coronavirus is an issue come Nov, our economy will be crashed and more people would vote

to get new administration. A crashing economy doesn't help the GOP on any level.
