I thought Joaquin's Academy Awards speech was terrific!

And the Academy's recognition of Parasite was great!
I was also very happy to see Bernie Taupin on stage receiving an award.
A great night, IMO (I missed the early part, though).

3. I hear you. There were a lot of great films in 2019. I still need to see some of the nominees.

Joaquin's speech was very impressive and inspiring.

And Bernie was always the name in the liner notes on the album. It's so nice to see him out there front and center, getting the same recognition as Elton. Neither one of them could have done it without the other.

I haven't seen Parasite. I'm way behind on my movies.

I thought I'd get to the movies a lot more this past year, but I've had some health problems that made it very uncomfortable to sit anywhere for a long length of time.

Pinched nerve and/or herniated disc anyone?

From last year, talking about being a first generation American of Eqyptian immigrant parents. Thanking Freddie Mercury for living unapologetically himself, and paid tribute to Queen for the experience of a lifetime.

Joaquin' s speech was a tad strange in tbat he forgot to to thank the Academy, the crew he worked with, etc.
