I thought Joaquin's Academy Awards speech was terrific!

I was also very happy to see Bernie Taupin on stage receiving an award.
A great night, IMO (I missed the early part, though).

2. Totally agree about Joaquin and Bernie Taupin.

Joaquin's speech was very impressive and inspiring.

And Bernie was always the name in the liner notes on the album. It's so nice to see him out there front and center, getting the same recognition as Elton. Neither one of them could have done it without the other.

I haven't seen Parasite. I'm way behind on my movies.

From last year, talking about being a first generation American of Eqyptian immigrant parents. Thanking Freddie Mercury for living unapologetically himself, and paid tribute to Queen for the experience of a lifetime.

Joaquin' s speech was a tad strange in tbat he forgot to to thank the Academy, the crew he worked with, etc.

13. Of all of them, Phoenix had the most profound message and he delivered it powerfully. All due

respect for glitz, meaningful entertainment, artistry etc., but Phoenix gave us something entirely
different. Not a moment. Momentous.
