Facebook tells me that it soon will not support my Microsoft browser (Edge)

I have pretty much every major browser installed on my devices. I work with web sites, so I need to check them on all platforms in all browsers. What I find remarkable is how many websites appear not to have been tested in that way.

5. Microsoft is discontinuing Edge in its current form.

They'll be switching to another source code, which will probably work better with Facebook. I still wouldn't use it, as I don't trust Microsoft any more than I do Facebook. Their security is untrustworthy, and I find Edge to be useless. I'll stick to Firefox, which now has a "Facebook Container", which supposedly hides your browsing habits from Facebook. It has worked pretty well for me, so far.

Was there a link or a browser recommended? Could be a phishing message trying to get you to load Malware.

14. It's probably an update thing

As mentioned above Microsoft is changing its rendering engine from their in-house version, "EdgeHTML", to a Chromium-based one. I'm going to assume your Operating System is Windows 10, which updates regularly, whether you want it or not. I bet that your Edge browser will get updated by the time Facebook drops support for the one you're currently using.

15. My old iPad has had me locked out of FB for months now

One day it just stopped loading. Got the spinning circle like it was thinking.
