'God, Guns and America': Dealership offers Bible, flag, AR rifle when you buy vehicle

https://www.wesh.com/article/god-guns-and-america-dealership-offers-bible-flag-ar-rifle-when-you-buy-vehicle/29412788

HONEA PATH, S.C. —
A South Carolina car dealership is offering a promotion in which it is giving away a Bible, an American flag and a Smith & Wesson AR when customers purchase a vehicle.

The general manager says one customer drove more than two hours to get to the dealership because of the promotion. He also said sales are up.

Carolina Ford in Honea Path, South Carolina, posted about the promotion on Facebook, calling it a promotion that is, "Near and dear to our hearts: God Guns and America!"

General manager Derrick Hughes said the staff was trying to come up with ways to help business because it is hard to get people to Honea Path.

this is nothing new - the winner will have to pick up the rifle at a gun dealer where he will have to undergo a standard background check.

The last time this happened was back in July after a shooting at a Ford dealership. Ford shut the whole thing down. It should do the same here.

I love that he gives away exactly what's near and dear to his heart in the third paragraph, basically admitting this crap is designed to take in more customers.

Florida second, Arizona third. Oh well. It's getting harder to avoid the crazies everywhere I guess.

bought the vehicle. Might as well buy your gun closer to home. This is nothing but a conservative customer wanting to make a statement and a dealership willing to oblige.

13. So, since he's giving the gun away, can he be responsible in any way if someone is killed with it?

Surely, he will have to fill out the necessary background checks/history before they get the gun?
