6. I can see what Kasich is saying but it lays bare a simple truth that his fellow GOP politicians are

cowards, when you have an open and shut case of soliciting a foreign power to interfere in the 2020 election, on Trump's behalf, and they need Democrats to do the work for them. He says that Democrats need to make the case, but the reality that is only buying time for the Republicans to find a way out of not impeaching him.
