Looks to me like Rod Rosenstein saved America

and that with these convictions America is pulling through the orange disaster and will be stronger for it. There's a strong chance none of that would have happened without Rosenstein's non-partisan move to do the right thing.

When all is said and done he deserves a Medal of Freedom.

I'm feeling more optimistic with every flip.

I wish it was over & all in the rearview mirror already.

Actually it never should have happened to a nation like the USA at all.

if Trump fired Sessions and moved an already approved toady over to AG on an interim basis and the toady fired Rosenstein & Mueller, I doubt we'd get much more than few sternly worded statements and tweets from the GOP.

Someone who already knew what was written in the Steele Dossier tipped off Al to be sure and get Sessions on the record. His questioning was masterful too! I hope Al Franken visits DU from time to time, and he must know he has a lot of friends here.

Not only will it oust the orange con-man but it will expose the inherent lifelong corruption of the Republican Party.

It was Rosenstein who immediately named and authorized MUELLER to do an investigation into the Russia issue, after Trump fired Comey. This means he'd already foreseen this and decided on, and had spoken with, Mueller.

Then he has been FIRM, ethical, honest, and FIRM FIRM FIRM, in continuing to oversee the investigation, no matter the threats, the insults.

But for Rosenstein, the Mueller investigation would not exist. The indictments would have not been handed down. The offshoot litigation and investigations would probably not exist (against the Trump charity, tax evasion, etc.).

Thank God for straight arrow civil servants who do their jobs, instead of pledge loyalty toward a single person.

Not ALL republicans are Trump-loving fascist assholes, i.e., Rosenstein, Mueller, etc.
Some do take the Constitution and the law more seriously than their political leanings, just not many in the US Congress.

But rather gave us the means for us to wake up and do what we can to save America. Ultimately it is up to us and the sacrifice we are going to be willing to make. Our hope can not come from government, as government is now too corrupt to assist. It's up to each and everyone of us now to figure out what we are going to do to save our country.

Fortunately, DU is brimming with folks that are doing a lion's share of good works and contributions.

I don't think our government is very corrupt (relative to many others) regarding the everyday bureaus that serve us, but far too many of our elected politicians certainly are.
