Help..how do I honor a fellow Cherokee at his funeral??

I need it to be subtle..is there something I can take to place in/at the casket?I've been searching all over with limited success. I don't want this to be too obvious; his mother is an avowed Baptist..but he was proud of his heritage. Something I can take to his grave later?
An appropriate prayer I can use quietly to myself?
I feel like this is very important, but I don't think anyone else is doing this for him.
Any help appreciated; the funeral is today, but he is not buried too far away from my house; so I can always go back later.

The Cherokee Children's Choir won awards in two categories at the Native American Music Awards last year for their version of the old hymn, "Precious Memories". It won in Gospel, for sure, and in traditional as well. You may enjoy hearing the music which is sung in Tsalagi. I doubt that even his mother would object.
