4. I think this is a deceptively difficult topic.
It will allow all of us a stretch. Even if only in our own minds.

6. I have some but none of them have enough "interest" to make them special
to show off my town's individuality.
So I started thinking: What are we famous for, can I show it, and can I make it interesting. And came up with an idea.

Am waiting for the rains to end so I can shoot it and see.
I am very curious about how this will play out in general.

8. I had a first - yesterday.
I went out just to shoot for this contest, thought I had a good idea, came home with lots of pictures.
I threw every single one away.

I just got back from a new attempt. Different part of town. Haven't looked yet. Wish me luck. I'm not giving up.

10. Thanks, I struck out again. My approach
Edited on Fri Sep-09-11 09:46 PM by Mira
of thinking what is my town known for, and what would be a good visual, and what would hold someone's interest for a second look, has not born fruit so far. I deleted all but 5 of today's efforts, and I would not even use any of those.

Tomorrow, or Sunday, I'm heading into yet another part of town. I even stood on a bridge tonight and took some shots of downtown at night.
It's a stretch, after which I suppose I won't return to the original dimension.

Some shots of past years, in my archives, are beginning to look better and better.

:)
edited to show you my efforts from the bridge, they are not worth using, but they would not have happened, and I learned a few things taking them.

18. Or us town-less folk?
Though if I use one near I have at least 3 or 4 towns to choose from. Some more interesting photography wise than others.

21. I thought that would be alright.
But decided to ask to be sure and let others see your answer. Who would of thought "My Hometown" would have so many questions and be so difficult. Now if only I could have the camera with me when I catch the horse and buggy at the McDonald's drive thru.
