The Goreacle speaks: He hasn't said no
He parses words. The man is inscrutable but he still isn't ruling it out:

". . . Please trust me to make good decisions about where I can do the most good, and don't automatically assume that running for President again is the right thing for me to do. If you feel that way and I decide for sure not to be a candidate again - well, sorry. If I do get back involved in the political system at some point in the future - well, keep that energy stored up and let's have a go at it then."

He then says how he would run, if he were to run, at some point in the future, of course.

"I would try to use the internet to mobilize millions of people at the grassroots level, and I think that's coming. As i said earlier, we have the wind at our backs. This is going to be the American century, we're going to come back strong."

1. Maybe it's not over yet after all
He certainly knows that millions of people on the Internet have already been organizing at the grassroots level.

3. I trust Al Gore and
I don't trust the corporate media anymore, it would be ludicrous to play by that game when it's rigged. The only question in my mind is whether the Internet will be strong enough to off set the one sided reporting of the corporate media soon enough. I believe the longer the writer's guild remains on strike, the weaker the corporate media will become as more people turn their attention to the Internet.

Thanks for the thread, Mabus.

7. I agree.
This one sentence speaks volumes.

'If you feel that way and I decide for sure not to be a candidate again - well, sorry.'

He has not yet made the decision not to run. Period.

And I believe that if and when he does make that decision he will make it crystal clear to all.
