Haynesworth to...Patriots?
Alright, so I didn't see this one coming.

http://www.boston.com/sports/football/patriots/extra_points/
"The Patriots made their bold move.

The team acquired defensive lineman Albert Haynesworth from the Washington Redskins, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

The Patriots sent a 2013 fifth-round pick to the Redskins. The trade is contingent on Haynesworth passing his physical, which has been a bit of an issue in the past.

Well, this will certainly liven up camp."

1. Couldn't happen to a nicer team
Yeah good luck with that. Even his teammates despise him so don't give me that "but they made Randy Moss" happy junk!
Oh yeah, and its still possible he'll go to jail for pending sexual assault case here in DC, btw. He settled the case where he punched out another driver with cash.

5. I would have been thrilled just to hear the Skins cut him
with nothing in return. Trading for a draft pick? Thats a plus. Believe me, no one down here is sad to see this..

9. You can't expect his play to be "non-existant" as it was in DC. The Deadskins org brings the worst
out in players.

10. I agree
I could see him excelling in certain pass-rushing situations.

11. No his problems are NOT because of the Skins
He's someone who is a MENACE to the people he lives near too.

Someone is permantly hurt because of him. He's dangerous. Goodell needs to look at HIM when it comes to the personal conduct policy

12. Mad was referring to his play on the field
Guess we'll find out soon enough if Patriot peer pressure has any clout with this bozo

13. Wilfork and Warren weigh in:
"... This ship is going to move regardless if guys are getting on it or not," Wilfork said. "... I don’t think the organization would put us in a bad situation dealing with that. We normally have pretty good, decent guys that come around even if they had bad raps or whatever it may be somewhere else but it always worked out for us.

"One thing that won’t change is if they’re with us, they’re with us. If not, guess what, the ball is still rolling and this train is going to keep moving. … It’s going to be tough for a lot of guys because Bill is going to ask a lot out of us and we’re going to have to be ready to give. It’s going to be tough at times, but we’re in it for the long haul and we signed up for this."

Warren said he doesn't put too much into reports about a player before he gets to know him.

"I think sometimes things like that can be misconstrued," Warren said. "Every case is different. Obviously, from the outside looking in you can see that Albert wasn't really happy in his situation. Really at the same time all you see is what goes on from the outside and sometimes that's only half of the truth. I don't think it's going to be a problem with the structure of this locker room and the guys in this locker room if he's acquired."

14. How much of Fat Albert's crap do you think Belichick will put up with?
Uh-huh. That's what I thought.

Sort of like sending your wayward child to military school, I guess.
