1. Jerry Jones has cut $17 million from Arlington's Team salary cap:
Cowboys cut Williams, Barber, Davis, Brown, save $17 million

The Cowboys have already cut nearly $17 million today as they put together their roster for training camp.

Sources confirm that receiver Roy Williams, running back Marion Barber, guard Leonard Davis and kicker Kris Brown have all been informed that they won't be invited to training camp. The club initially included tackle Marc Colombo in this group, but as of Tuesday afternoon his status had not been resolved.

These moves carry salary cap implications down the road. But a team that entered the day at $18.9 million over the cap has taken a $16.6 million bite out of that largesse in 2011 with the decisions to release Davis ($6 million), Williams ($5 million), Barber ($4.75 million) and Brown ($910,000). If Colombo does not restructure his contract and the club does part ways with the veteran offensive tackle, it will save another $2.45 million against the cap this season.

The Cowboys are expected to create another $17.5 million by restructuring the contracts of Tony Romo , DeMarcus Ware and Miles Austin later in the week. Together, these reductions will give the club the operating room it needs to sign its own free agents -- Doug Free tops the list -- fill out its roster and be active in the free agent market.

2. Arizona should try to get Leonard Davis back
or maybe not. I would say Marion Barber as well but Arizona has too many running backs and they just drafted one as well.
