ANG Base at Yeager in Charleston
Listening to the hearing on CSPAN-2 right now, it looks hopeful that our Charleston ANG base will remain open. Rumsfeld's recommendation is to close it. Sure hope we prevail.

1. ANG Base at Yeager in Charleston
The BRAC Commission unanimously voted to keep the 130th ANG at Yeager! Looks like the good guys won!

3. I was thinking the same thing
Senator Byrd, as the leader of the WV Congressional delegation, worked hard to make this happen. Sad thing is, I believe the main beneficiaries are right wingers, who are in denial about this and many other things Senator Byrd continues to do for us West Virginians.

How ironic, these same right wingers have scoffed at the many government jobs Byrd has brought to our state, saying the only important thing is private sector jobs. These same people, however, treasure their 'government' jobs at the Yeager ANG, and have been scrambling to try to keep them.

Guess they will thank Smelly Snore Crapito for helping them out.

4. Yeah, those crappy government jobs, like here in Pburg's Public Debt
are only some of the best jobs around. And yet, even here, people don't give Byrd the credit he deserves.

5. If Bush flew into Yeager today the lifers at the ANG would all
fall out to kiss his ass! I know some of those guys and they are hard core republican fools! Some even work in the polls. I still don't believe the vote tabulation is for real in West Virginia.
