I've been so busy in the campaign office of my choice this fall that this weekend was the first opportunity I had to complete it. All of you good Oregon posters are alll done with yours, too, right? Right?

1. 5 in, 5 out
I just have to make sure my son's girlfriend voted, and then I've got all voters in my domain covered.

2. Oh, yeah.
Mine went in a week ago.

Thanks for the reminder, though.

3. Mine is going in the mail today
Unfortunately, all my vote for governor is going to do is cancel out that of my friend, who voted for Saxon, unless his wife decides to vote for Kulongoski, too.

I wish that I lived in Oregon right now. I am so homesick. I guess I can be thankful that the military still has me in the U.S., rather than Iraq. It's still hard to be away from home, especially when elections are coming up and I'm not able to really study all of the issues from a local point of view. I spent nearly two hours on the phone with my friends last night, trying to get an idea of what Oregon politics are really like now. Many of the websites I've read lately focus on the west coast of the state, while I'm registered in Bend. For instance, Karen Minnis isn't even on my ballot, so I don't get the joy of voting against the witch. Oh well.

We're a week away from the day that will change our country, one way or another. Hopefully, it will be a postive change, rather than a "mandate" for the current administration. I'm worried about the electronic voting machines in other states, though, as well as Ohio's voting problems. We need to get those things fixed before 2008!

Thanks for the reminder, BlueIris! :toast:

4. Oh, and I'm sure all of you know this, but returning the ballot will get you
off all the lists for all those progressive groups that keep calling you. :-)
