“Peace” rally counterprotest!!!

On March 29th, from 3-7 pm there is going to be a loud, annoying, possibly sickening, peace rally at 95th and Quivira in Overland Park, KS. There might be 100, 200 or 300 or more “peace” loving folk there.

So will I, and I will loudly be supporting our troops AND their mission!

Their rally is supposedly going to be a peace rally, but my past experience tells me it will definitely be anti Bush, somewhat anti American and sometimes anti troops whether they mean to be or not.

I won’t take it standing down, won’t you join me?

Wear plastic or something you won’t mind getting ruined. All recent “peace” protests in the news have involved the activists throwing all manner of things, including feces.

To all lurking freepers:

We who oppose this war have never done one thing to demoralize the troops or NOT support them. You who support sending them into harm's way are NOT supporting them.

We also do not throw feces or anything else. Our rallies are PEACEFUL.

You are more than welcome to join us but be warned that the OP police are moments away if not on site for all of these actions at that location and they will step in to solve any disruptions. We also do come armed with cameras and will preserve your behavior on film for all to see.

1. And the rest of the story:

All of two counter protesters showed up to "support" the troops. There were 100 on the other side of the street protesting against the war. Mostly young kids. Very inspiring. Several had family members in the military serving in Iraq.

Everything was very peaceful until a car drove by and threw something at the peace group. The Overland Park police were there and immediately went after them. Arrested and detained.

Now just who has a history of throwing things at protesters? :)
